The FunFly event that was held by the Mid Tennessee Flying Association this last weekend was held in Columbia, Tennessee. Although Hobby Lobby was present at this event, they specifically chose not to set up their own booth to sell their products. The reason was because one of their dealers, PAC Hobbies, had already negotiated and set up their own booth. In light of this situation, the HLI team partnered with PAC and supported them by providing Hobby Lobby products to sell in their booth.
This was a decent sized, two-day event with an eclectic group of pilots from a mix of local clubs that came together to hold this FunFly. The announcer would usher in a variety of planes for spectators to witness, doing various flight demonstrations. This provided the perfect opportunity for individual pilots to show off their skill and the impressive aircraft they had brought to fly. R/C planes of all types were welcome. The event itself was held on one of the runways at Columbia Tennessee’s full scale airport. For some pilots, the realistic atmosphere was enough to give them chills as they performed their own R/C flights.
