The news isn’t out yet on Hobby Lobby’s new Electra Glide, so be sure to read closely so you can be one of the first to know about this affordable new sailplane that is about to hit the market. It will be both ready to fly and receiver ready and comes with a 2.4 GHz radio.
This sailplane comes with a 61” wingspan and is made from white EPO foam that users get to apply decals to when assembling. It is super-light weight at only 18 oz and the tips of the wings curl up at the ends to give a little more stability and dihedral. This 4-channel ARF also comes with a motor, folding prop, and a two-cell 1500 battery pack.
As far as the flight characteristics go, the Electra Glide is a good sport glider that acts as a great first powered glider for model pilots. Experts say it is fairly aerobatic and is capable of nice rolls and even decent slope soaring.
The plane will be up on the site shortly for customers to see what a screaming deal this glider really is. The ARF version is only $169.99 while the RTF is $199.99. Those are excellent prices when you consider the quality product you are getting with its brushless motor and LiPo battery all included!
