It was a valuable trip to China for a few members of Hobby Lobby who were sent out to China in mid-September. The team that was sent consisted of both industry and product experts who went with the intention of ensuring that manufacturers were producing at the same standards that they expect from their partners back home.
The trip started in Northern Shanghai where the team met with manufacturers. They planned to go over revisions on existing products as well as development of future products. The goal for products that already exist in the market was focused on specific improvements that would make an even better end result for Hobby Lobby’s customers.
The meetings were designed to refine past projects that they had set up with their manufacturers in as well as setting the groundwork for projects that Hobby Lobby has in store for the future. It is this process of international business cooperation that sets Hobby Lobby apart from many of the competitive companies who simply go to China, see what the manufacturer has, and then choose which products they want to put on their shelves to sell.
